The Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ABLCC), in close collaboration with its partners the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) and Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (CCLUX), is delighted to announce its upcoming Economic and Trade Mission to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to the Sultanate of Oman from Sunday 3^rd to Friday 8^th March 2024. The mission is fully supported by the Belgian Embassy in Riyadh and the Embassies of Saudi Arabia and Oman in Brussels.

This mission will be focused on technology solutions and the world of Tech, this being organized in parallel with the LEAP exhibition.

LEAP is the most important technology event organized yearly by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), the Saudi Arabia Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) and Tahaluf, an IT company. The conference topics include Smart Cities, Fintech, Edutech, Medtech, Cleantech, Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC), Future Energies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), etc.

As many Gulf countries, the Sultanate of Oman recognizes the potential of technologies to diversify its economy and reduce its dependance to hydrocarbons. Just like Riyadh, Muscat has launched its Vision2040, which aims to diversify the economy and strengthen the private sector. The development of technologies and innovation is one of the pillars of this vision. Several topics crystallize this strategy, such as the creation of centers and parks to attract technological companies and to encourage research and development, the digitalization of public services, the integration of ICT in education, energy, tourism (reservation platform, virtual reality, etc.), and the improvement of existing infrastructures.

This will therefore be an opportunity for Tech companies - starting to make contacts, or willing to reinforce the contacts they may already have established in 2022 and 2023 - to seize the exceptional opportunities offered by the "Vision 2030" roadmap in Saudi Arabia and the "Vision 2040" in Oman, while benefiting from the network, expertise and logistical organization of AWEX, ABLCC and CCLUX.
