In the framework of EXPO 2020 DUBAI, the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, in close collaboration with VOKA Mechelen-Kempen, led a networking Mission to the UAE with a delegation of more than 30 Belgian Businessmen and women - among which leading Belgian companies – from 15 to 19 November 2021.
On this occasion, the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce closely collaborated with VOKA Mechelen-Kempen in organizing a lunch-conference with keynote speaker His Excellency Wesam LOOTAH, CEO, Dubai Smart Government, on 16 November 2021 at the Belgian Pavilion.
Collaborating with the private sector and government partners, Digital Dubai is the government office charged with facilitating Dubai’s citywide smart transformation.
The Digital Dubai initiative was founded following the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the happiest city on earth. Participation from all city stakeholders — residents, visitors, business owners, parents and families — is a cornerstone of this strategy.
After a delicious Belgian style meal on the rooftop of the Belgian Pavilion - also called "The Green Arch" as it highlights the emergence of connected green cities through its industrial, technological, and scientific knowledge – delegates from the mission moved to the Belgian business center, where His Excellency Peter CLAES, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the UAE, delivered a welcome address and reminded the participants of the importance of the relations between Belgium and the UAE.
